Joaquin Phoenix, last seen in “Ladder 49,” stars as the man in black himself, Johnny Cash, in “Walk The Line.” The movie tells the story of Cash’s life, emphasizing his rise to stardom, struggle with drugs, and magnetism toward June Carter. Carter is played by Reese Witherspoon, of “Just Like Heaven,” in the film.
