Here is my theory of how “Underworld: Evolution” entered existence: A few nerdy science-fiction fans got to the last scene of the original movie and one turned to another and said, “Hey… what happens next?” The other replied, “Oh, wow, dude… we should totally do that!”
That is when I believe they ran out of ideas.

sorry to say i disagree with your review--underworld e is not shakespeare but it is entertaining and fun ..and as many people have said I COULD watch Kate just walking and wearing that suit for 90 minutes...like the oscars, mainstream hollywood and many others disagree on what is entertaining--just leave your brain outside--UW is great--cannot wait for the third one....dandanbul.blogspot
I am all for leaving my mind at home for a movie (I loved A Sound Of Thunder), but the special effects and action did not impress me all that much in Underworld: Evolution.
