“Lucky Number Slevin” starts off strong with a talented cast, a diverse set of characters, and an intriguingly mysterious plot. The thing that ropes you in, though, is the film’s wit which, unfortunately, is dropped midway through the tale to make way for a few surprising-but-uninspiring twists.
